3rd/5th Cavalry

Combat After  Action Reports
For Period 17 May 1968 through 7 November 1968

3/5 Cavalry has moved north to I Corps to Wunder Beach
and becomes involved in heavy combat with NVA and VC
units who suffer large amounts of enemy losses.

Operations Jeb Stewart III & Comanche Falls III are also involved.

This report covers extremely heavy action resulting in a huge amount of enemy kills during Operations Jeb Stewart III and Comanche Falls III which took place in Quang Tri Province in extreme Northern I Corps, South Vietnam. The 3rd/5th Cavalry was OPCON to the 1st Cavalry at the time and were stationed at Wunder Beach. Some of the action concerns the Battles at Binh An, La Hue, and Gia Dang.
