This is actually two reports regarding two Reconnaissance In Force Operations known as Black Knight I & II. These two operations took place in Quang Tri Province, extreme Northern I Corps, South Vietnam. This is the operation noted for when a soldier fell into the fan of an Air Cushioned Boat. The 3rd/5th Armored Cavalry was stationed at Wunder Beach and was not OPCON to any other unit, a rare event in itself.
